Serve cheese on stone and it stays cool longer, because marble holds a low temperature well and keeps soft cheeses from going slack halfway through a party. A jute handle wraps one end for carrying, and doubles as a hanging loop when the board is stored. Its smaller scale suits a two-person board or one course of a larger spread.
