The Sempli Monti-Sonno bedside carafe is designer Daniele Semeraro’s homage to the classicism of glassblowing heritage while refining this object into a minimal sculpture that could be used in the bedroom or dining room for wine as well. The idea of having your dinner guests use Monti-Sonno for decanting the wine effortlessly transitioning to sleep time on their way to bed after a long dinner, filled with cold water and by their sides.
This is a beautiful piece. . . if you have a butler and want filtered water delivered in this carafe on a tray to your desk, or with your meal at bedside, or to quench your thirst while engrossed in a book in the library. It doesn't not serve as a vessel for water to reach for in the dark, when waking up in the night. Much too delicate for that! I do not recommend this for anyone who does not have a butler.
