Canvas Home Abbesses Colored Rim Porcelain Coffee Mug 10oz (Set of 4)

This mug has been updated! I've been purchasing Canvas dishes for 10 years now, and much (if not all?) of the Abbesses collection is thicker now than the original runs. The plates and bowls are definitely heavier: less prone to chipping. And the coffee mug is significantly bigger (as you can see in the photo), with a more durable handle that can accommodate 3 fingers, instead of 2.

These are wonderful, elegant cups. Good for your everyday and when receiving a company. They are a very convenient size and weight. Light but sturdy. I especially like a thin blue line on top - minimalistic, stylish and so graceful.

nice mugs, match the dishes I have

I like the style and simplicity. It will go well with other serving pieces I currently have. It reminds me of a farmhouse look that I was after.

The silver paint is coming off. I hand wash and dry these delicately. I have other colors in the collection and they have been fine. This is a fail. Also will not use them as the paintwork makes contact when using.

Absolutely beautiful cups by Abbesses. Finely wrought, they are thin but durable, likened to almost porcelain. If youve witnessed some fine dining pieces from the Restoration period in England, these remind you of that. Delicate, refined but sturdy enough for ever day use. Recommended highly.

I loved the clean lines of this cup. The stripe is a dark grey that would coordinate well with many kinds of decor. The handle, though, makes it a little awkward when you are carrying it from one place to another. You have to be careful as the mug can slip in your hand.

These came in a set of four. One of the cup’s handles had a sharp piece of the material right where your finger rests. The opening of all the cups seem a bit off, just not evenly rounded. In my opinion, the cups are below average and a bit small for my liking.

I would say these coffee mugs are very nice if they fit your need. These are certainly not your “everyday” variety. They have the look and feel of a handmade porcelain item, so there are some imperfections on the surface and on one, a black spec, that is noticeable, but not an issue for me. (See pic) you need to make sure you read the description to make sure these fit your need. They are relatively small and the ones I got, platinum, at NOT dishwasher and microwave safe. Time will tell how the platinum edge holds up, but for now it’s a nice touch, albeit a few spots where there is some inconsistency in the application.
