Union Serving Spoon

Small spoons do more work than their size suggests, and this one is built for the jobs a dinner spoon bungles. Teak keeps it light in the hand, with grain that shifts across every piece. Use it for olives, capers, or a spoonful of something from a jar, then set it back beside the bowl.

Teak turns an ordinary serving spoon into something you leave out on purpose. Its long handle reaches deep into a jar or a serving bowl, and the grain runs the length of the piece so each one looks a little its own. Keep it in a crock by the stove, or bring it to the table with a salad.

Coffee tastes better when the spoon is pleasant to hold, and teak manages that better than metal ever does in a hot cup. Its long handle reaches the bottom of a tall latte glass, and the wood stays cool while you stir. Keep a couple in a jar by the kettle where they are always within reach.

One of Alessi's most famous historical products. According to company legend, Carlo Alessi made this object behind his father Giovanni's back. Giovanni did not like the idea and Carlo had to make engineers work at night to make the molds. He thus gave us a product suitable for every table for serving spaghetti in a masterly way.
