Its a very beautiful set, unfortunately it took the original and a replacement in order for me to complete a full set. Both the original and the replacement arrived with broken bowls. I purchased two sets (One blueone grey) of the Noritake Colorstax Strip 12-piece sets. I’m glad I did because they far exceeded my expectations upon opening the box! They are a hearty weight and beautifully kilned as not a single blemish either in the porcelain or the meticulously done glazing and paint. Each color has an hombre effect that I didn’t even notice in the pictures that actually amps up the overall beauty of the collection. Love love love this entire line. We replaced a set of 25 year old dishes with these. I ordered 4 of the square dinner plates for serving. They don't stack as flat as the round version and take more room in the dishwasher so not practical for everyday use. Ordered everything else in round--dinner, salad, cereal, and very cute appetizer plates (4 1/2" diameter)--great for rolls/butter, underplates for condiments etc. there are a few differences in thickness in everything-plates and bowls.
