This rug is not only beautiful but is sturdy and quite comfortable underfoot with the recommended rug pad. After unrolling it and placement, it was lying flat by the next day. It has the look of kind of an open weft and weave but it is in fact durable… much to my surprise when my kitties had to try their claws out on it (of course cuz it’s new) not a yarn was pulled up on it! I purchased this sofa in the lattle velvet fabric, it exceeded my expectations. However the low profile height was too low for me. I replaced the legs with 5 inch legs this raised the height to 18 inches. Also I repositioned the throw pillows and altered them from 18 to12 inches. Now they are uniform to the height of the arm.
