Bed was wrapped and packaged well. Super easy to put together. Not sure about the stability or noise as stated in other reviews but it seems sturdy. Waiting for our boxed mattress to expand. Took off one star due to the chipped paint on the headboard (only part that can’t get a replacement piece) of course on the side that will be noticed. But Wayfair gave me 20 refund. We purchased the Cal King and a beautiful and solid wood piece that was easy to put together. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious. I searched for months for a bed that would fit around and hide the ugly plastic platform that came with our sleep number adjustable bed. We bought this bed to be our 3 y/o son's first bed. Final assembled product looks great, and railings keep him in bed with no worry of rolling out of bed - which were 2 big reasons for purchase. If you're wondering if the bed is solid wood, it is, with veneers on top. Assembly instructions are easy to follow. There are one or two tricky parts where you could really use a second set of hands to help you, but other than those two moments, it's possible for one human to put it together. Shipping was lightning fast and even arrived a day early. I will say that a non visible part of the headboard arrived with some slight cosmetic damages (a first with AllModern), but AllModern makes addressing that straightforward and relatively painless, and they made it right in no time. It won't stop me from purchasing in the future, and the customer service was top notch. Overall, incredible value for money, good looking bed for our kiddo, safe, and sturdy.
