It'll take some washing and airing out to get rid of it, and even then I don't know how long it'll take. It's stunk up the whole room and into the hallway. I probably would have changed my mind and put it outside on the line to get a better chance of airing out, except I worked my tail off to get it under my very heavy bed frame with an unwieldy mattress, so it's there until I move or die. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great rug—looks awesome in our hallway ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We got this rug for the hallway between our guest rooms, and it’s been a great addition. The color is a bit darker in person than it looked online, but honestly, that works in its favor—it has a really rich, modern look that goes great with our floors. The texture and pile height are exactly what we were hoping for—plush enough to feel nice underfoot but not so thick that it’s in the way. The quality feels solid, and it lays flat right out of the packaging. One important tip: You absolutely need a skid-proof rug pad if you’re putting this on wood floors. Without one, it will slide around. Given the pile height, I’d recommend a low-profile rug pad to avoid any clearance issues if you’re placing it in a hallway with doors that swing over it. One thing to note: it does show lint and dust pretty easily, but that’s just the tradeoff with a darker rug. A quick vacuum keeps it looking sharp. Overall, we’re really happy with it. Hand-tufted using a flokati weave technique, its 0.63" pile height provides ample cushioning underfoot in living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways. It's also safe to roll out over heated floors. Even with a backing, we think placing a rug pad beneath it is a good idea.

I'm quite pleased with this rug. It does effortlessly enhances the aesthetic of my living room while tying cohesively well with my other various decor styles. Crafted from a blend of traditional wool and jute backing, it does offer a soft touch while maintaining durability - holds up pretty well in high traffic area. What I particularly love is the timeless earthy tones. It complements well with any modern decor. While shedding is common with handmade wool rugs, I find that it does lessen over time. Admittedly, there are some initial lint that tended to get on clothes, but regular vacuuming (frequent in the beginning) at a low setting helps alleviate this issue. Overall, I highly recommend..
