It has no weird smell. Yes it’s shedding but it’s supposed to for one year it’s wool and well made. The price point was unbeatable. This size rug usually sells for a lot more. I am a particular fan of this brand. I have quite a few of their other rugs, so I knew that I was going to get quality. Absolutely love this rug! Its much more plush than I expected it to be. It had a slight odor when we rolled it out (to be expected) but was gone in less than 24 hours. It laid flat immediately. The vacuum does tend to pick up quite a bit of wool but I dont think this is abnormal as Ive heard this happening with other wool rugs.
