The leather has a smell to it the smells like mold, but it’s on the leather so maybe it’s what you protected the leather with, but I changed all my sheets. I was nervous purchasing as boucle can look really cheap when it isn’t top of the line, but the beds came (2 matching, size full) and they look beyond good. Already getting loads of compliments. Heads up the slats sit high so the mattress doesn’t sit sunken within the box of the frame, so overall the feel of the bed isn’t as low as I expected but they look so darn good I’m not bothered.
