I wish the inside was filled with cotton as well instead of polyester but this insert's cover was cotton which felt great! Lightweight & warm & it's a down (feather) alternative which means no feather filling & no birds being violently plucked of their natural coats.. the feather/down industry doesn't use pain killer to the birds either & down is the little feathers on the birds' chests to keep THEM and their babies & eggs warm, not us..
