Absolutely gorgeous table! I love the matte finish that allows the beauty of the wood grain, knots, and other natural characteristics of the wood to shine. The legs are substantial and look sleek without distracting from the beauty of the tabletop. Delivery was wonderful (thank you, Lathrop team!) and assembly was quick. The only reason for the docked star is that my tabletop arrived with a crack that begins on the edge and extends to the underside of the solid wood top. This table is pretty great although it stains very easily, almost like there is no sealer on it. The other negative is we kept having problems with Wayfair sending us the right one. This was for a cabin so each time it was a wrong order, it was another drive that was wasted. Wayfair really didn't do much to compensate. There is a tradeoff between style and stability. You won't be able to sit on this table without it tipping all the way over. Obviously, there's no reason to sit on a table; just setting expectations. Otherwise it's absolutely stable enough for dining and such. The markings on the surface are obviously intentional and meant to evoke an industrial feel. There is a blotchy shine or lamination on the surface that I'm not sure if it should be scrubbed off or ignored (it's not painfully obvious). This table is really a quality piece. It’s sturdy and has a rich, even stain. Assembly was very easy and everything lined up perfectly. Aside from the beauty of the table, there is really no good way to place chairs. The leg placement on the table prevents you from pushing the chairs all the way in. I included a picture of this and you’ll notice the manufacturer’s pictures do not have the chairs pushed in either (because it’s not possible). I did not notice this or consider this when ordering. Because of my limited space, I removed 2 of my 4 chairs to make it look like it makes sense. But overall really like the table so far - modern, clean style without being too of the moment to go out of style soon. Company needs to do a much better job estimating delivery dates. I would hesitate before ordering from them again for this reason.
