Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping. Carefully delivered, well packed. When you open the box you will be happy to have purchased it. It is better than expected, (based on review and gut instinct). Colors are true. I love it! The only setback was the installation. My husband had to cut a hole in the drawer to fit the pipes. Not every home is the same, and this needed to be done. The drawers are beautiful. Well made. Wish they had a full-length box, but the pipes would not fit. We are using this vanity for the 1/2 guest bath. Toilet paper fits, and rolled towels. That's it. It is a nice, solid looking vanity. The countertop has some discoloration but it's to be expected for natural stone. The handles are a shade between black and dark bronze. Like other reviewers have noted, this vanity desk does sit a little high. One upside is you can easily cross your legs beneath it without bumping your knee. The black velvet lined drawers with their soft close add to a luxe feel. They are too shallow to hold a blow dryer but my make-up and jewelry fit fine. The colour in real life is slightly darker/muddier. It's not a bright ash. Item arrived well packaged in two boxes. Assembly was easy enough, and the drawers are already assembled so it didn't take very long. Be very careful during assembly that you don't drag the edges and chip the veneer by accident. Once assembled, there is no exposed area to risk this, though. There was a slight smell to the product resembling spray paint that gassed off within a weak. Absolutely stunning. We assembled it mostly except for the back splash. It all came together on a pallet and was pretty much put together already! Took my husband 10 or so minutes... the quality is phenomenal. My only complaint is the sink color doesn’t quite match the brilliant white of the marble... maybe once we’ve put the sink in and see it all together it will blend better than seeing it separate.
