These pendants are a great addition for a small island countertop (7ft). They really elevated the aesthetic of the lights in our kitchen. You can use any A19 bulb, but we ended up using Edison bulbs to dim the lighting from the pendants. If you're a tall person, make sure you hang them at an ideal height, as the glass does not block all light and will hit your eye level and will not be pleasant -- part of the reason we chose to use Edison bulbs.. Be aware that if you don't have the pendant ready electrical, you will need to install a pendent conversion kit for recessed lighting, which requires a few tools and a capable hand. We have two hanging above the dining room table and they look very nice. The bulb provided is a bit too white for the coloring of the lamp so looking to switch to a warmer hue. It doesn't work for me. My hall is rather small for this giant glass piece. This requires more space in the hall than I have. The glass is huge, my hall is very tight. I didn't realize this thing was so huge. It works for someone that has more of an open area to put it in because I'm telling you the glass is huge. Was packed very, very well w/no damage but it's just too large for my hallway. I'm having a rough time finding light fixtures. I don't want to buy bulbs, they're too hard to find now days. I was hoping this would work but so much for that idea! My house is only 1600 sf so a lot of tighter spaces than this can accommodate.
