There is a tradeoff between style and stability. You won't be able to sit on this table without it tipping all the way over. Obviously, there's no reason to sit on a table; just setting expectations. Otherwise it's absolutely stable enough for dining and such. The markings on the surface are obviously intentional and meant to evoke an industrial feel. There is a blotchy shine or lamination on the surface that I'm not sure if it should be scrubbed off or ignored (it's not painfully obvious). Horrible purchase. The table came completely damaged. Huge, deep gashes on the table surface, there are cracks on the seem where the tables folds. One of the hinges is completely bent which doesn’t allow for the table to properly close. And there is a chunk of one of the legs missing which has been filed with a wood filler. This table is really a quality piece. It’s sturdy and has a rich, even stain. Assembly was very easy and everything lined up perfectly. Aside from the beauty of the table, there is really no good way to place chairs. The leg placement on the table prevents you from pushing the chairs all the way in. I included a picture of this and you’ll notice the manufacturer’s pictures do not have the chairs pushed in either (because it’s not possible). I did not notice this or consider this when ordering. Because of my limited space, I removed 2 of my 4 chairs to make it look like it makes sense. Absolutely stunning table. It looks even better in person. Multiple guests have complimented when visiting our home. Love that it accommodates so many chairs, has rounded edges, and only has legs on the outer corners (unlike some tables that have legs in the middle that obstruct your legs underneath the table).
