Really pleased with the color and visibility of the pattern in monotone. I was worried it would be darker or more brown but it is a true mustard. Nice thickness and weight makes it comfortable and allows it to unpack and lie flat easily. Have noticed quite a bit of shedding but that seems to be normal in the beginning for these wool rugs. Suitable for all interior residential spaces including but not limited to living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and entryways. The sumptuous texture of the rug pile softens hard surfaces when layered over tile, stone, and hardwood floors. Maintain the rug by vacuuming with suction only, vacuums with beater bars are not recommended, and spills and stains should be treated by a professional cleaner.
I ordered the pink color that looks more like deeper cinnamon. Fortunately it still works with the decor so I’m keeping it. Also, the edges are somewhat frayed. The rug isn’t laying flat but hoping it’s due to being so tightly rolled for an extended period of time and will correct with time. For the sale price, it’s ok. Long story. I have purchased five rugs from AllModern previous to this purchase. One of them was a slightly smaller version of the one I am reviewing now. All of them were (and are) perfect. I did also order a carpet pad for one. That pad smelled like some critter had snuck in and peed on it. No way to prove that with a pic. No problem, they took my word for it and refunded me immediately. This rug is a 9x12 version of the 8x10 we had previously bought and loved. The 9x12 just wasn’t quite up to the quality of the 8x10. The pile was not quite as high in spots, which caused the sculpting feature of this rug to slightly pale in comparison to the smaller rug. No problem. AllModern sent us another one, gratis.
