Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping. The quality is more a 3-star, but added a star as the style of the dresser looks nice and is what I expected. The interlocking system made some jangling chain sounds when opening and closing the drawers. I had to diy/macgyver the locking system by putting in some adhesive cushion to curb some of the jangling noise;,which was annoying; but ultimately I got it to where I was happy with that sound so that’s good. There are also a couple of chips in the paint or lacquer of the drawers which isn’t awesome, but not too noticeable.
