Seemingly with absolutely no purpose. This is one of the strangest design details I’ve ever seen and absolutely ruins the chair. Incredibly disappointing. I couldn’t be happier with this chair! It was super easy to assemble, everything lined up perfectly and only took a few minutes to put together. The quality of the materials really stands out: the wood feels solid and well-finished, the woven back adds a nice touch and is supportive, and the cushioned seat is both comfortable and a very lovely fabric. It’s incredibly sturdy (no wobbling at all) and feels like it’s built to last. I’ve already gotten compliments on how beautiful it looks in my space.
