It's a really nice looking cabinet, spacious, and even magnetic on the outside. It's perfect for easily accessible storage. Assembly was really difficult. A lot of holes/screws were mis-sized and didn't align. I couldn't manage it myself so had to get a Taskrabbit with the proper tools to help, who was able to get it done quickly. I bought the oak table from Wayfair a few months ago. I ordered a walnut sideboard, which seemed to match the table in the pictures from Wayfair, but it did not. I couldn’t return it because it had been assembled but I have another place. It can go. This new sideboard is oak and it matches perfectly. I took these pictures on the day that I received the sideboard so no candles or vases or statues are on it yet. Our cabinet arrived very timely. So well-packed, it took us an hour to get the cabinet out of the packing. Tried to put the legs on ourselves, but the holes for the screws had not been drilled properly on one side. We engaged an Angi installer, who drilled new holes. I asked him to look at a loose hinge on one door, He said both hinges were bent, one broken, probably during packing. We are awaiting new hinges, which will arrive in about a month. I ordered a sideboard from Allmodern. First delivery the item was damaged and I did not accept delivery. The wood was cracked and peeling away on the bottom of the unit in a very visible area. There was alot of back and forth about whether another unit was available. I finally received a replacement. It too was damaged with some small gouges in the wood of the doors and around the edges. The wood was chipped along the bottom edge above the leg. There were a few red streaks like sharpie marker on the side of the unit. One door was not attached but the delivery men were able to fix it. There was a lot of rearranging of existing furniture to make room for the new piece which had to be put back while waiting for the replacement. Didn’t want to go through it a third time so I accepted the second piece at a 20% discount. Still had to pay over $1400 for damaged goods. I guess it’s not realistic to think that a new piece of furniture should arrive in good condition. I do like the piece of furniture but would expect undamaged goods and much less hassle. We searched online and in stores for a long time before landing on the Dakota bookcase, and I'm glad we took our time. We bought two. They're well-built and higher quality than I expected. The wood grain is unusual, but harmonious and not distracting. The legs give them a kind of finished appearance that's perfect in our 1960's apartment. They come assembled - you only have to add the feet - and with the "white glove" service, the guys delivered, set them up and took away all the packing in a jiffy. The only thing I would add is a leveling knob at the bottom of the legs. Our 1960s apartment doesn't have very level floors and it took some futzing with pads to get them even.. Anonymous.
