I ordered a sideboard from Allmodern. First delivery the item was damaged and I did not accept delivery. The wood was cracked and peeling away on the bottom of the unit in a very visible area. There was alot of back and forth about whether another unit was available. I finally received a replacement. It too was damaged with some small gouges in the wood of the doors and around the edges. The wood was chipped along the bottom edge above the leg. There were a few red streaks like sharpie marker on the side of the unit. One door was not attached but the delivery men were able to fix it. There was a lot of rearranging of existing furniture to make room for the new piece which had to be put back while waiting for the replacement. Didn’t want to go through it a third time so I accepted the second piece at a 20% discount. Still had to pay over $1400 for damaged goods. I guess it’s not realistic to think that a new piece of furniture should arrive in good condition. I do like the piece of furniture but would expect undamaged goods and much less hassle. Gorgeous dresser! It came fully assembled, just had to screw in the feet. Its is solid wood and super heavy. The hardware is the perfect brass color, not like a fake gold. The craftsmanship is high quality, it is very well made, the rattan is flawless. It has so much interior space! My other dresser was actually a little bigger but this can hold more. There is a lot of color variation in the wood grain. The description doesnt say what type of wood but it looks like maybe poplar or mango wood. I bought the oak table from Wayfair a few months ago. I ordered a walnut sideboard, which seemed to match the table in the pictures from Wayfair, but it did not. I couldn’t return it because it had been assembled but I have another place. It can go. This new sideboard is oak and it matches perfectly. I took these pictures on the day that I received the sideboard so no candles or vases or statues are on it yet.
