Very nice chair. Very plush. I am 6 ft and the support on my neck and head feels perfect. I’ve always loved the Vala chair and I can definitely see that was the influence here. I purchased for a very good sale price and it feels like an absolute steal. Site says it is top grain leather, if it is, it has a lot of finishing on the top as evident by how uniform the grain is. The chairs are very nice, however, one box was delivered completely ripped open. One chair leg was sticking out of the box. The leg is bent backwards and the chair frame separated from the front corner of the chair due to the leg bending backwards. The other box was somewhat collapsed but no visible damage. FedEx is scheduled to pick the chairs up for return since I need a pair and one is unusable. Chairs are out of stock from the manufacturer. Such a shame especially since they are very expensive. This is a quality sofa with a sleek and elegant look. The open bottom makes it appear less substantial and bulky but it is quite heavy and solidly built. Reinforced joinery make it quite sturdy. The leather is very soft and supple and well conditioned. The seat cushions are quite wide however the back cushions are comparatively shallow relative to many sofas. This goes well with my Article sofa and ottoman. I was trying to order a similar piece from Article, but it kept getting delayed. I'm so glad that I canceled that order and found this armless chair. It only took two days for it to arrive from the time I placed my order. It was packaged very well, required no assembly, and the price was excellent.
