I was concerned the pillow back would translate to poor lumbar support, but it's firm enough to provide good support while still being cushy. I'm 5'7" and the chair is a great fit for me - I can rest my head on the back of the chair. My husband is 6'7" and sits almost a head higher than the back, but that's unfortunately unavoidable for him. He said it's still really comfortable, and the seat is deep enough to accommodate his long legs.
