The lamp is OK, but the build quality is poor. The metal frame for the shade doesn’t attach securely and stays crooked. I had to use tape to keep it straight. The dimmer is placed about a foot from the lamp, so if you mount it on the wall, you end up with a big black box hanging below it. It looks bad. I expected more. This is a Wayfair product, not AllModern. AllModern is just Wayfair with different branding to seem more premium. Shipping was rough. The styrofoam shattered into tiny pieces and got everywhere. This sconce is really elegant and well priced. I love that the switch is positioned in a hidden but convenient spot, and the swing arm is smooth. The whole thing feels sturdy and looks great and lights up my reading corner. I will say that installing is sort of annoying, since you need the wall screws to be VERY close to the wall so the weight of the arm doesn’t shift the whole light. Beautiful fixture and very easy and quick to install. I put in A19 bulbs and they look great, S19 bulbs don’t work with this design (they stick out the bottom of the bowl). I like that the bar has just enough give that you can adjust it to be horizontal without unscrewing the wall plate, makes it easier to make it very straight. I would rate 5stars but I took one off because the light socket isn’t centered once it’s screwed into the glass globe and both point in slightly different directions rather than straight down. This dimmable sconce nestles a mid-century-style globe shade into a hemispherical steel cap, for an updated look that evokes a half moon. It’s crafted from frosted glass that’s evenly illuminated by an included LED bulb. Install it facing down for task lighting, or up for a more ambient glow.

The lights look great and we love them, however, there are a few things that aren’t visible in the stock photos I’ll point out that. First, they have a bit of a textured finish to them which you can’t really discern in the photos. It’s not bad, but unfortunately it doesn’t match the other fixtures in the bathroom that we have them in. Secondly, there are some white ‘bumpers’ to protect the glass globe sandwiched between the globe and the metal housing.
