“Filo d'olio” has been designed by Marta Sansoni. It is a little iconic mechanical gem for use with “green gold”, another name for olive oil. Giulio Iacchetti offers a collection of wine accessories including the wine bottle stopper. The name chosen for this series of items is an amusing reference to Noah (Noè in Italian), the first man to plant grapevines and make wine. The bottle stopper, suitable for both wine and champagne bottles, is produced in polished steel and has a rubber inner section to close the cap with a pressure and expansion mechanism. Easy to use, insert by pressing and turning clockwise to fit the neck of the bottle. To remove it, simply turn in the opposite direction and pull it out. This stopper adapts to the neck of most wine bottles found on the market today. The size of the stopper was determined through a study that considered the numerous bottle types most commonly used by wineries. The shape of the object is reminiscent of a classic cork, which hermetically seals champagne bottles and their content.

A best-seller since it was first produced in 1994, the Anna G. corkscrew is a tongue-in-cheek homage to a real woman. Her smiling face has become something of a cult figure over the years, giving birth (so to speak) to a rich family of objects for the table and kitchen in a wide range of materials.

The Birillo family of bathroom objects is designed by Piero Lissoni. The balance between the minimal shape and the used materials is the main characteristic of this project. The entire range of products is minimal and essential thanks to its rectangular shape and very well finished with its rounded edges. The objects are simple but never dull. The bathroom wastepaper bin, made of thick PMMA thermoplastic material with a white mirrored finish, is equipped with a swing-top lid with a counterweight inserted in the inner part to guarantee the position of the horizontal closure.

Conventional salt & pepper mills often create mess by leaving excess grounds on surfaces when placed down. Standing like two little characters, these smaller-sized salt and pepper grinders add a bit of style to your tabletop. All details are cut to an absolute minimum, just leaving a beautiful sculptural shape that sits comfortably in your hands. And functionality has not been forgotten with the ‘all-grind’ internal mechanism creating the perfect grain size. Designer Alfredo häberli worked with George Jensen to create a whole range of kitchen and dining room products. His work always contains an element of fun and humor and he envisaged these domestic items to be members of a small ‘family’, adding a bit of personality to each piece. The Alfredo salt and pepper set is beautifully crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel with an internal ‘all-grind’ mechanism that can easily be adjusted to vary the grain size of salt or pepper.

A bit larger than I thought, but still stunning. The shape is innovative, so this is perfect for the BOLD. It's funny how I could not tell the difference (at first) between the salt and pepper, but I love subtlety, and the sophisticated shape is seen first, and the thin black or white stripe (on the "neck") are perfect secondary indicators. The grind is easy, has a smooth action, and creates a very fine salt or pepper result. I look forward to getting more items from this designer in the future. Well worth the $$$.. Picky Designer Guy. Grinding spices by hand releases more than any machine manages, and marble is the stone that makes it easy. Weight does the work: the bowl stays put on the counter while the pestle does the pushing. Small enough to leave beside the stove, it handles peppercorns, seeds and garlic, and the veining means every piece looks its own.
