This only comes with 2 brackets, firstly. Secondly, there is a gap between the tree and the wall due to no groove to account for walls with baseboards. So the integrity of the brackets were compromised and made useless and my toddler son ripped it out of the wall quite easily just by putting his books on it. We fixed the issue by going to Home Depot and getting 6 L-Brackets and drilling them all up and down into the "trunk" of the tree", 3 on each side. We then secured the L-Brackets to the wall with metal drywall studs and it was much more sturdy. Great aesthetic design and cute product, but be prepared to need extra hardware to really make it sturdy.
