The desk features a warm wood veneer with solid wood legs and powder-coated steel accents.

Bought this desk in gray for the guestroom that had very tight space. It fits in nicely with the modern architecture of our home, and complements both the modern and the more tactile traditional types of furniture in that room. However, the packaging was subpar for a Blue Dot product. The box was full of 12 thick styrofoam pads, in which the corners of the furniture parts dug deep holes during shipping, covering the entire room in electrostatic pellets upon opening. It was as if it snowed in the room. Took a few turns with a vacuum cleaner to get the tiny pellets off the nooks of the furniture and from all over the room. Because of that, assembly took a few hours, instead of 30min. We ended up with 2 XL size garbage bags of styrofoam which is hard to dispose in an environmentally conscious way. Even IKEA does a better job of saving resources and eco-friendly packaging. Product is made in China. Blue Dot should put an effort into paying attention to ecofriendly recyclable packaging.. Timea.
