The dynamic stripe pattern Ralli (rally race), created by Maija Isola, was inspired by the streamlined tapings seen on traditional racecars. In the print, sophisticated vertical color blocks constitute a well-balanced design.
Maija Isola's Isot Kivet (stones) design builds on circles cut with scissors. The pattern was most likely inspired by the big rough-edged stones that were manually cleared from the designer's atelier home's grounds.
The Tiiliskivi (brick) pattern was designed by Marimekko's founder Armi Ratia in 1952. The pattern reflects her belief in the simple beauty of everyday life.
This exceptionally soft rug is rich in tactile charm, offering an ingenious luxurious comfort for a pleasant underfoot sensation. The color palette offers warm neutrals combined with vibrant garden green and a delicate chocolate brown, adding a touch of mid-century spirit. Thanks to durable construction, these rugs are non-shedding and easy to maintain. Above all, we are very proud to announce that this is our first woven 22mm pile rug made entirely out of recycled polyester PET bottles.
