Maija Isola's Isot Kivet (stones) design builds on circles cut with scissors. The pattern was most likely inspired by the big rough-edged stones that were manually cleared from the designer's atelier home's grounds.
The Tiiliskivi (brick) pattern was designed by Marimekko's founder Armi Ratia in 1952. The pattern reflects her belief in the simple beauty of everyday life.
The dynamic stripe pattern Ralli (rally race), created by Maija Isola, was inspired by the streamlined tapings seen on traditional racecars. In the print, sophisticated vertical color blocks constitute a well-balanced design.

Simple + bold. This area rug showcases a minimalist pattern of oversized black stripes on a creamy ivory field. Hand-knotted in India from soft + durable wool, it has a medium pile height that cushions floors while standing up to foot traffic. We suggest adding a rug pad to hold it in place.

Rug looks nice. But If you have a cat at home this rug will likely be destroyed in a month due to the exposed threading.. Anonymous. . 2022-09-08 15:06:54

Timeless craftsmanship, modern style. This shag area rug is woven by artisans in Varanasi, India using traditional vat-dyeing techniques and horizontal handlooms. Made from New Zealand wool, a rug takes about a week to weave, after which it’s double-washed, hand-sheared, and given a one-sided fringe.
