A beautiful wall clock that combines the fine texture of wood and paper. Thomson Paper has a clock face made of an unique design paper called Mermaid, named after the ripples of the sea, the home of the mermaid. Gentle, pleasant, and with superb choice of color, designer Yuichi Nara creates a three-dimensional numbers on the Thomson Paper's clock face using the iconic Thomson die-cutting machine, used to manufacture puzzles. The edges of the number outlines stamped out are naturally rounded like a tensed water surface and drop soft shadows into the spaces stamped out. Part of the Lemnos Plywood core collection.
Uniquely named as HM with Truth and Nature, this clock is an amalgamation of Truth, Nature, Design, and Craftsmanship. The clocks are individually produced in Japan by skilled craftsmen in a sophisticated and minimalist clock design. The clock’s charm is its simplicity that is well suited to a range of settings.
Part of the internationally acclaimed designer Oki Sato's first series of design timepieces, Divide uses scientific concept other than numbers to tell time. Inspired by the electron configuration of an atom, the number of electrons is used to convey the time. The design draws a connection between the spherical path of electrons spinning around in the centre of an atom and the rotation of the Earth as time goes on. The designs were created with the intention of allowing the user to experience the passage of time in a stylish and conceptual way.
Designed with a pure simplicity that underscores its quiet dignity and strength. The gentle shapes of the numbers and clock hands radiate softness and calm, with a universal and beautiful design that fits in anywhere.
The black indicators and hands are arranged, with some comfortable tension, in the blank white space within the round frame. The MONO Clock quietly tells the time and fits well in any modern space or on a simple white wall. Iconic and pleasant to the eye, the MONO by Yuichi Nara exudes a dignified understanding to design and reveals the presence of time in a classic modern elegance.
