Just about perfect. I love the texture it has, really makes it feel elevated and earthy. Whole thing has a very solid feel, all metal, and the shade is actually attached unlike some similar lamps I’ve seen where it just balances. Takes a standard A19 lightbulb and has a really great black fabric cord with an inline switch. My one nitpick is that the bracket that attaches the shade seems to have been made backwards and so doesn’t sit totally flush with the base, making the shade ever so slightly tilted.. John. We love this lamp. It was immediately apparent that it was of a much higher quality than similar, cheaper lamps, and very much worth the price. Attaching the post to the base was a challenge. The included wrench was nice, but awkward given the limited angle afforded by the base. I had a very hard time getting the post tight and perpendicular to the base.
