Very sturdy ,the music feature is a plus. I cant use a skirt due to the extension cord for lights needing room to move.I think I solved the problem by ordering a " tree collar",which I've noticed is also being used these days. It's a clean uncluttered look that surrounds the tree stand base, yet leaves open space for the movement of the wires out of sight. This Christmas tree stand fits 6ft, 6.5ft, 7ft, 7.5ft, and 8ft artificial Christmas trees. A Christmas tree collar or skirt is not required.
