I can't speak to whether the chairs would have worked because they did not arrive with the cushions. I was unable to speak to a representative and the email correspondence took weeks (and a constant back-and-forth). Finally, a person actually called me and refunded my purchase.

Great solid chairs. Only disappointment was the back pillow wasn’t well stuffed. Not too big of a deal to add more stuffing but at this price I shouldn’t have to.
