Stiles 82.25 " Bookcase

The file cabinet double-box uses these garbage plastic flip-connectors I've never seen before. Some were glued in misaligned and wouldn't latch properly, threatening to let the whole thing fall apart. Even the ones that fully closed have no positive latching. Why make these "toolless" when the rest of the assembly requires tools anyway?! I have ZERO confidence this will survive a move. Maybe even across the house! For $500 this is absurdly bad.

Item came with a broken part. 2+ weeks of contacting and recontacting All Modern to get the replacement. Still no resolution ... would be a lovely cabinet, if I could get the part I need to complete the assembly.

The color received was in no way properly reflected in the website. We decided to keep the piece of furniture after being offered a 15% discount and assembled it. The process was lengthy and now that it is assembled, the LOW quality is much more apparent. We are very disappointed and want to know our options for further refund or complete return and refund. Please advise.

Looks just like the pics. One change I made is to not install the stick on covers over the recessed bolts. The wood color matched, but the wood grain did not. I don't mind seeing the exposed bolts. I may check out the local hardware store and see if there are some solid black plugs that would fit. I think that would add to the modern style.

Good instructions to assemble with only a Phillips screw driver or the included hex wrench made it easy. Quality pieces. Nice looking shelving. Extra part in each parts package, for example an extra screw or bolt in case one is misplaced or ruined. Definitely a good buy.
