It was very easy to assemble and came with good instructions. Make sure you keep the tree even when shaping and hanging ornaments. Shaping the tree is opposite of a normal tree so remember your point branches down. This tree is a good size if you're going to put it on a table or stand. Just make sure the table or base is sturdy. It was easy to assemble and easy to store, too. I did not put on any ornaments this year; it looked so perfect just as-is. (Yes, you do need to bend and separate the individual branches, since they are compressed for packing and shipping.
