The tree is just as pictured, but the surprise was how MANY lights it has. That, plus the reflective quality of the silver tree, makes this tree a showstopper. My neighbors also put their Christmas trees in their windows, and from a distance, this one out-shown all the others by its brightness and more pre-lit lights. It was easy to assemble and easy to store, too. I did not put on any ornaments this year; it looked so perfect just as-is. (Yes, you do need to bend and separate the individual branches, since they are compressed for packing and shipping.
