Kahler Gingerbread is a series of modern gingerbread houses and a Christmas wreath from Kahler, where the combination of a charming look and handmade design traditions meets the warmth of tealights and classic Christmas traditions, creating both style and coziness. Baking is part of Christmas, and with its natural look, it is easy to imagine that Kahler has just taken a freshly baked honeycomb house out of the ceramic oven. Yes, you can almost smell the ginger, but don't be mistaken—the entire Gingerbread series is made of stoneware and the white glaze is ceramic. The Kahler Gingerbread Lighthouse Christmas Stall measures 4.5" in height and is inspired by a traditional old barn, which you often see today as a cozy and authentic setting for the Christmas markets in the countryside—full of nostalgia and guaranteed to give red cheeks, freshly baked apple slices, Christmas decorations, glogg, knitted mittens and burnt almonds to all the visiting families and friends on their Christmas trip. The Christmas Stall has snow on the roof and is decorated with delicate patterns that look like a gingerbread house. The Lighthouse has plenty of space for a tealight, so that the Christmas spirit can spread through the hand-cut windows and the Christmas Stall's unique features—the large wooden doors with their own small windows. Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker are the designers behind Kahler Gingerbread, and their design is characterized by the meeting of the rigorous and the authentic. The geometric surfaces of the lighthouses are softened by the graceful decorations and the many windows and doors, all of which—large and small—are cut by hand, giving the lighthouses a natural and cozy look.
