This table is BEAUTIFUL! Saw it for $514 on AMZN but was nervous since the seller had a few bad reviews for service and items arriving damaged. Ordered it here instead where I read the good reviews. Gamble is up to you! Wayfair order came in today...absolutely gorgeous, GREAT quality, durable wood. Also saw other similar tables for much cheaper, saw one in person to test quality. The bottom was metal and the top was a thin MDF wood. I went for this one because I wanted a sturdier top and it certainly delivers!!! What came in today was perfect and worth the splurge as this is usually outside of my price range. Shipped in 2 big boxes. Installation took 2 minutes lol. This table is really a quality piece. It’s sturdy and has a rich, even stain. Assembly was very easy and everything lined up perfectly. Aside from the beauty of the table, there is really no good way to place chairs. The leg placement on the table prevents you from pushing the chairs all the way in. I included a picture of this and you’ll notice the manufacturer’s pictures do not have the chairs pushed in either (because it’s not possible). I did not notice this or consider this when ordering. Because of my limited space, I removed 2 of my 4 chairs to make it look like it makes sense. I like how different this table is aesthetically and although it looks modern you can change the style based on what chairs and decor you do. The table looks very white online but there is a warmer hue to it. I paid for the assembly which was definitely worth it because this table is very heavy. The guys that delivered it scratched it a bit because it was heavy but luckily it was under the table. I am more careful with what I place on it but when it gets a lot of scratches I think I can always paint over it. Also, 8 would be a tight fit. I think this is more of a 6 person table. Great table. I love it. Looks like the picture. Good size too, and the narrowness of the base seems better than the wide ones that'd annoy my feet for sure. The base is flat, so expect it to wobble on some carpet. If you don't mind floating it an inch above the floor, you can add feet to fix that wobble.
