This is an amazing piece of furniture to have ordered it from online. It comes in one piece and packed, cartoned very well. It weighs a ton! The color is perfectly warm and soft polished like an antique. I cannot get over how inexpensive this piece is compared to what we found in the usual furniture stores in our area. This is a big piece. Big! I cannot tell you how good this looks and how it looks like a piece that has been handed down for generations. Updated 4/27/25. Wayfair did agree to make this right, so I changed the review from 1 star to 3 stars, hoping the replacements will be better than the. Original Review: I waited four months for these. While the nightstands are beautiful in theory--and solid--the craftsmanship could be better. Forget for a moment that they were delivered to me damaged--the legs crack easily, and since the legs are constructed from one solid piece of bent wood, there is no way to repair the crack. The real problem, however, is the ridiculous drawer mechanisms. The drawers are supposed to open and close with a much to the center of the drawer. But the drawers are cut crookedly. Yes, you did not misread that--these expensive dressers have drawers that are not plumb. In addition to the drawers not being plumb, the mechanisms themselves fail. It is difficult to see in the photo, but the drawers do not line up. There is a ½" difference from one drawer to the next, and even from side-to-side. The dressers weigh about 156 pounds each. The delivery people put them on my drive in the pouring rain instead of on my covered front porch, the boxes were destroyed! Wayfair did agree to send me replacements, and for that I am grateful. I will see how the second set fares, and I'll come back to update this review. These are backordered now for another three months. I received the dresser last fall. If I didn't already have the dresser, I would not bother reordering these. Do yourself a favor and maybe opt for a similar style from Tommy Bahama. Oh, I didn't mention: they reek of manure.
