The color is NOT blackend bronze even though that is what is listed on the box, the color is just matte black. It does look great and fits my 65” tv. Metal is thin and light but shelves hold the weight of my LED tv fine. I had no issues with any screws or alignment like some mentioned. I would definitely buy again. A stylish alternative to a locker style cabinet. It's all metal which is great (one review comments on the wood!?) and the finish and metalwork is really of a high quality. I had a problem getting the top to fit tho. It was about 2 mm too small, and required being put on directly from above, as opposed to an angle as in the instructions. This is the second time I’m trying to post a review. The first review deleted itself. So I will try to replicate my words. We really like this console. . The look is very high-end. The wood finish and grain is excellent. It is a little daintier than I expected, but that is on me because the dimensions are all listed. We really like the rattan on the doors because it allows radio signals to get through. One thing you need to consider before you put this together is whether or not you want the shelf. Do not put the doors on until you know. We needed the shelf out so that our surge protector and wires would fit. However we made the mistake of putting the doors on first with the shelf. There is no way to take the shelf out once the doors are on. Taking off the doors is very difficult. There are two buttons on the sliders that are hard to engage. The doors have nice magnets on them that hold them in place. The drawer is lined in velvet. Be careful when you are putting on the legs to read the diagram correctly. If you start to put on the legs the wrong way, you will think the screws are too short. Take a look at the diagram again. If you like mid mid century style you will like this tv stand.. Pamela. I generally do like this, though I purchased it on sale and it's definitely not worth the full price. The photos are somewhat misleading so I wanted to share my own. The drawers are set back further than how it looks in the photo, and there is a black bar where the door slides across. It looks unfinished to me. That black bar was clearly photoshopped out in the All Modern photos, which is really disingenuous. I might try to paint that part to match the wood, but in the meantime I like this piece much better if I just open the drawers slightly so that they align with the sliding door (as seen in my last picture). This stand is sturdy, and was the perfect size and shape for my small living room. The glass shelves are sturdy - the top shelf holds up to 75LB -- and offer a much breezier and more open look than the other wood shelves I was considering. The best feature, for me, is that THE FEET ARE ADJSUTABLE!! No unsightly bumpers or pads needed to even out the stand on my wavy old floors. I ordered the Black finish; the color seems to be slightly warmer than straight institutional black, which is a good thing. The color on the box said "Blackened Bronze", but It's more black than bronze, with a VERY subtle metallic sheen which adds to the depth. (I'm a stickler for color and finish, obv). Note: the finish does scratch easily, so be extra careful when sliding the glass shelves on. (They need to be slid in through the opening on the sides, so leave space! Assembly was quick, easy and instructions were very clear. It took less than 30 mins with my 9-yr old assistant. Highly recommend this shelving system!. Christina. We got this to go with our mid-century inspired living room. I was a little skeptical how well something like this would match our custom real walnut coffee table in terms of quality however, the end result is very striking. The material is MDF with walnut-style veneer. The MDF is very dense and heavy, and seems good quality. Similarly, the veneer is very good quality. Having assembled a lot of flat-packed furniture in my time, I was surprised at how precise everything was cut and how it lined up, including the mitered corners. The quality of the included hardware (hingers, clickable drawer slides) was also very good. The cabinet hinges are adjustable to ensure the large door lines up flushlevel like it should. The drawer hardware also has leveling mechanisms build into the slides. The only exception to this was one of the metal drawer slides didnt retract as much as the others, resulting in the front face not looking perfectly flush (which is very noticeable on a clean-line piece like this). I was able to fix this by drilling a couple 14 offset screw holes for that drawer slide in the MDF, and it all lines up like it should now. Also of note is that the smaller shelves and cabinet area do not have holes cut for cords, so we had to drill our own. Overall, a very nice piece of modern furniture.. Brook.
