Nice looking chairs, very simple but very awkward for one person to put together. I’d suggest two people to help hold pieces in place. Seem to be made for taller people, as the space between the back rest and the front of the seat is quite long.. Anonymous. Thu Oct 17 2024

This classic armchair brings a conversational feel to your home with its fluid lines and mid-century modern style. Crafted from solid walnut wood, the open frame showcases a striking low back that wraps around to form integrated arms. The padded seat features foam cushioning under faux leather upholstery for a smooth, supportive surface that makes it easy to unwind. It's designed with visible woodgrain for added depth across the natural finish. Plus, the curved silhouette delivers an open, airy presence that fits seamlessly around your table.

These chairs are beautiful. The lines are unique and the chair stands out. The chairs are light weight and seem sturdy; time will only tell. I deducted a star because of two things. One, the seat pad color is bleh. It’s not tan, not cream, kinda taupe but with a hint of yellow in it. That said, it’s still neutral and works. You could recover them easily if it is a turn off but you like the frame. Secondly, three of the nine chairs they sent were damaged (I ordered 6). Two were definitely damaged due to shipping (lots of outer box damage), but one was a joint issue that was a manufacturing defect. Allmodern replaced the damaged ones with zero issue and very quickly.. Brittney Lyn. Roseville, CA. Thu Mar 18 2021

This armchair brings relaxed accent seating to your living room or bedroom, giving you an inviting corner to unwind with a book or cup of tea. Crafted with a kiln-dried solid teak wood frame, this design features an intricate woven leather seat that highlights natural grain and material textures. Slender spindle legs and integrated armrests introduce mid-century modern character while keeping this silhouette visually light. Mixed materials including subtle weathered steel accents create an eclectic focal point for your seating area. Plus, its smooth leather surface requires only a dry cloth for quick everyday dusting.

What great chairs! Great quality; very comfortable; looks great in dining room and very sturdy. The only problem I had was that they were too tall for the table and the arms did not fit underneath. For reference, my dining table is the mango wood “blox” table from cb2. Our solution was to cut and screw a piece of black painted wood the same dimensions as the table legs to slightly raise the table. We put a black wool rug underneath and you can’t even see the additions. Although it still would have looked good if it was visible.. Anonymous. Sun Feb 25 2024

Massively mid-century. This armchair is designed with uniquely curved arms and an angled backrest that seamlessly blend into slender tapered legs. Crafted from solid ash wood with a walnut finish, this piece showcases a natural wood grain for warmth and distinctive character. We love how the white faux leather upholstery adds a Scandi-inspired contrast while providing comfortable cushioning. It's the ideal choice for those who appreciate minimalism without sacrificing on style.

A very good looking contemporary chair with fine lines. Adding a thin seat cushion makes the chair more comfortable.. Cecilia. Bethesda, MD. Sat Jun 22 2024

The natural Origins dining chair was created by a local Thai artisan utilizing exquisite craftsmanship. It is made of reclaimed chamcha wood, which we have rescued from being one of Nature’s finest castaways by making it into an elemental design statement. There is butterfly detailing throughout the back of the chair - this and the fact that each piece is one of a kind, they will have beautiful imperfections unique to each piece. The style of this wood dining chair is fitting for a number of interiors, including modern farmhouse and industrial chic. There is an array of furnishings and accessories in the Origins collection, which reflects the ethos that the Phillips collection personifies: Modern organic.

Bring some Brazilian influence to the table. With its sculpted form and inflated scale, brown ash frames black top-grain leather with dramatic tufting for a midcentury twist. Sourced from one of the oldest family-owned tanneries in Italy's Bassano del Grappa, our heirloom leather covering is salvaged and processed from upcycled hides featuring an abundance of natural markings, scars, and color variations. The result? Beautifully supple, buttery soft hides with an unmatched depth of color and richness, and an authentic lived-in look.

These chairs look nice, but they are not very comfortable to sit in and the seat is very firm.. Sue. Indianapolis, IN. Tue Mar 24 2026
