Impressed with the quality and love the look. Pleasantly surprised to discover that it is stable. Note that the table is 70 inches long and not 75. There may be some discrepancy on the website or manufacturer claims. Initially I would have preferred 75, because there is room but 70 inches works much better for conversation with 4 guests. Tl;dr: A solid table with the thinnest top veneer you can imagine. We bought this table for our new apartment. I had never bought a brand new dining room table. It looked so good in our newly renovated apartment, but I am disappointed in how poorly the table top has held up. In just four months of use, the veneer is cracking and bubbling. I have no idea why this is happening. It seems like a dining room table should be able to stand up to normal things you put on a table, like hot plates of food, dishes, glasses...normal things. The surface is so delicate that I'm afraid to put anything slightly hard on it for fear it will scratch more. I really don't think this should be happening so quickly, and especially considering that we paid upwards of $1300 for it. I'm looking into glass or some other protective cover (that I should't have to buy). Looks nice as a show piece. Not so great as a practical table you can actually use. Easy to put together.
