These stools are perfect! Straight lines, wonderfully comfy seat, easy to wipe clean, light weight, bar for foot rest. I’ve ordered around 15 barstools til I found these, which worked perfectly for me. I have an island where I place barstools on both sides. So I wanted stools with a back, but also wanted to be able to push the stool under the lip of table so I could still do food prep on side of island by the kitchen counters. These worked!! I ordered 3 colors. The charcoal , honey, and the darker brown (forgot the name). The honey was just a tad too orange when placed with my wooden island. But loved that color, and would have been great with a white Island/bar/countertop. My island uses 4 stools on each side. And I thought black would actually look the best. So as a DIY I purchased Angelus leather preparer & then Angelus black acrylic leather paint and did a tester on 2 stools! What’s $125 for a set of 2 stools if they didn’t work. But it worked perfectly! I’m undecided at this time but most likely plan on painting them all black. Gorgeous stools. Hard to tell in the photos but I purchased the dark brown cushions. They're very comfortale and fit perfectly underneath my counter height island. A bit finicky to assemble - just be sure to not fully tighten any of the screws until all pieces (pre-assembled seat w/back,+foot rest+two leg pairs) are all loosely assembled. Don't even fully finger tighten anything. Once everything is attached but still wiggly then you can tighten everything down. The stools arrived in good time, packed well and no damage. The colour of the wood is lighter than on the site, more of a white oak look. The brown leather is as pictured. Update…We have been using them for a month, they are very sturdy, although a slim design which might be an issue for larger folks.
