The bed looked sturdy and the assembly service was very nice. However the wrong color was sent - medium grey instead of ash grey. This is a very well made, stylish bed that really suits my space and decor. The reason that I can't give it 5 stars? The website lists the overall height as 32". This caused me a lot of conflict over purchasing it, because that meant that the headboard was much lower than I really wanted. But this was the best bed for my needs, so I went ahead and ordered it reluctantly. So imagine my surprise when, after the bed was assembled, I measured and found out the headboard was really 40" high! No part of this bed is 32" high, and I'm pleased as can be, but I delayed the purchase a few weeks because of the listed height of 32". I even contacted Union Rustic and asked if the headboard was truly 32" and non-adjustable, and they confirmed that wrong information. The Rand Bed arrived in two very heavy boxes and needs to be assembled in the room it's going in. It required more assembly than I expected. Predrilled bed rail screw holes did not line up with the black sheet metal supports making it difficult to assemble. The sheet metal support that runs in the middle of the bed from headboard to foot board is not forgiving, even with the wood & mesh ladder that sits over it to uphold the mattress. The ladder is flimsy and not high quality. Moving the boxes boxes and assembly is a two person job and while it looks good made up, I don't consider it a good quality bed. I wish I had spent more money and got a bed that is easier to assemble. I would not order this bed again or spend the money on a new mattress for it.
