This platform bed has a timeless look. Clean lines + flared cone legs borrow from a mid-century aesthetic. Crafted from kiln-dried wood with durable dovetail joinery, it's wrapped in a plush, cushioned fabric that’s supportive and comfortable. Top the sturdy slats with the mattress of your choice (sold separately) – no box spring required.

This bed is lovely. I keep telling my husband that we finally have an adult bed! Unlike other midcentury styles, this one tastefully hides the support beams in the middle, which allows the bed to keep it's tasteful lines. I wasn't bothered by the slight gap, but I do feel like the wooden slats may not hold up. Unlike ones you might find at the Swedish guru shop, these are sealed; they're just unfinished pieces of wood like look like they could crack easily. Time will tell! I love putting furniture together and am kind of a veteran of the DIY furniture directions. My husband and I had a horrible time getting the main 4 pieces of the frame together and it seems like some of the steps were reversed. Attaching the sides to the headboard was a pain- you basically need 5 hands from two people, so it would probably help to attach the sides to the bottom end first, then add the head board. It's overall a very simple design and the directions are pretty straightforward (if not a little too simplified), but it took us a bit longer than we expected. The feet are my favorite and really lovely quality! One of the two boxes (the one with the headboard) was ripped all the way through, which resulting in a big dent in the headboard that appears to be permanent. This isn't hugely noticeable but is unfortunate and packaging/shipping could have been slightly more careful.. Sarah. Mount Vernon, NY. 2018-03-06 15:42:27

With its understated yet bold design, our standard bed sets the stage in your main or guest bedroom. A wooden frame ensures durability, while the upholstered wingback headboard offers just-right support. Your choice of size and hue makes it easy to suit your bedroom's overall vibe and color scheme. Box spring and mattress sold separately.

Material and colour of the bedframe were fantastic. Love the wingback detail for a cozy feel. The bed arrived a bit ahead of schedule but well worth the wait (4 weeks). The spacing between where the boxspring rests and where the bottom of the headboard begins is about 20". Keep this in mind for overall use and nightstands as it leaves the overall height of the bed quite high off the floor. We didn't want there to be a gap at the back even though it could be hidden with pillows. It would allow things to slide back or fall behind the bed. (Something to consider if you are purchasing a thinner than normal mattress such as Casper or other boxed mattress companies). The back of the headboard is also not sealed with fabric...it is exposed to attached the headboard to the frame and the wings. It is up against a wall so it doesn't matter but if you are looking to float the bed in a room where the back would be seen I would not recommend this bed. (NOTE: There were 5 instruction manuals included in the delivery. They were similar and yet all somewhat different. Despite the steps...if you purchase this bed attached the wings to the headboard first. Make your frame and attach the siding. Than bring the two portions together for assembly. It will be way easier...especially if you are along. Set aside about 1.5 - 2 hours to build if you are alone.. Daniel. North York, ON. 2018-01-29 17:36:51
