I think they are very comfortable, but am not sure how they would be for prolonged sitting. I have had many back surgeries, so the fact that I think they are comfortable says alot. Very cute and comfortable, however they were not the easiest to put together. Some of the leg braces/foot rests did not fit all the way into the leg holes and one of the screw holes was stripped.
