This is the second time I’m trying to post a review. The first review deleted itself. So I will try to replicate my words. We really like this console. . The look is very high-end. The wood finish and grain is excellent. It is a little daintier than I expected, but that is on me because the dimensions are all listed. We really like the rattan on the doors because it allows radio signals to get through. One thing you need to consider before you put this together is whether or not you want the shelf. Do not put the doors on until you know. We needed the shelf out so that our surge protector and wires would fit. However we made the mistake of putting the doors on first with the shelf. There is no way to take the shelf out once the doors are on. Taking off the doors is very difficult. There are two buttons on the sliders that are hard to engage. The doors have nice magnets on them that hold them in place. The drawer is lined in velvet. Be careful when you are putting on the legs to read the diagram correctly. If you start to put on the legs the wrong way, you will think the screws are too short. Take a look at the diagram again. If you like mid mid century style you will like this tv stand.. Pamela. I generally do like this, though I purchased it on sale and it's definitely not worth the full price. The photos are somewhat misleading so I wanted to share my own. The drawers are set back further than how it looks in the photo, and there is a black bar where the door slides across. It looks unfinished to me. That black bar was clearly photoshopped out in the All Modern photos, which is really disingenuous. I might try to paint that part to match the wood, but in the meantime I like this piece much better if I just open the drawers slightly so that they align with the sliding door (as seen in my last picture). This media console is beautiful and has a high quality look similar to pieces 2-3 times the price. The gold pegs and hardware do not look cheap or tacky and are very subtle. The wood gives off a warm tone in the sunlight, and looks a little darker if there’s not good lighting. Things to keep in mind: This is not a console with great depth and does not have cable holes on the left or right cabinet, only center. It will take some modifying to perfect for receivers or if you want to store additional wired electronics. I opted to cut out the back on one side for more ventilation and placement for my AVR. I made a small rectangle hole on the other end for cables on my Xbox. It took about an hour to do all of this but the end result is a media console that can fit all my stuff (including center speaker) and work properly while the cabinets are CLOSED. Perfect! Few other things. The shelves can be fully removed and they are slightly adjustable about 2-3 inches up or down. Not sure why the FAQ showed the shelves not being adjustable or removable. After seeing this during a home tour in Palm Springs during midcentury week, my wife had to have it I lucked out and bought the last one! Pros The look of the entire sideboard is beautiful and I gave in to the gold trim as I’ not a fan of gold, but this is a nice a matte color. The size, we downgraded from a massive 75” china cabinet that had tons of storage and took up almost an entire wall, this having the three drawers and shelves was a plus. The customer service response after reporting issues. The item shipped assembled! Cons I don’t think what we paid for was worth the purchase after I received and inspected the unit I was not that impressed with the craftsmanship. The handles have white overspray, who spray colors with handles on They should be sprayed before they screw then on! The handles were chipped I requested two new handles to be sent, but one of the replacements was worse than the original see pictures. The bottom shelf of the sideboard has chunks of debris that weren’t cleaned out (pictured) and it was painted over and they dried with the paint, if I attempt to remove I’ll chip chunks off, but good thing they are towards the back and won’t be visible once we close doors. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. Don’t get me wrong I love the look and what it will do for our newly renovated house when it comes to decor, but the craftsmanship of the piece and what I was charged is what I’m not happy with, plus the issue with the replacement part, how do you send me one that’s worse! I guess this is what happens when things are now put together in Vietnam and not China due to import fees. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because on one of the shelves behind the sliding doors the holes were off, so my husband had to drill a hole so the shelf sat level instead of wobbling. It was an easy fix, just a little annoyed that we had to drill into the very nice piece of furniture to fix such a minor thing had they done the holes properly to begin with. Another minor inconvenience is there is only one opening in the back for cable management... since my husband has 3 gaming systems he was a little annoyed with that situation because once again we are going to have to drill into the furniture so his cables can slide through. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Delivery was easy and on time. No damages to the furniture (which was my biggest fear). The item was packaged very nicely and secure.
