Was not expecting much going into the purchase, but came out pleasantly surprised by the quality. The fit and finish is top tier; there aren't any squeaks, rattles, panels of spec etc. The color in the pictures are very accurate, and the finish of the wood is smooth with no imperfections. Very heavy, solid piece and it looks great. If I have a criticism, it would be that it looks like it should have two drawers but it only has one, plus a small open shelf over the drawer. I was really hoping the shelf would have an opening to the back or side for a cord to go through since it would be a great place to keep a phone/laptop but no such luck, it is totally solid.. Scott. Nightstand looks nice, modern and has soft-close drawers. I may add stainless steel handles to the drawers for the look and easier opening when lying in bed. Nightstand is wider than your typical nightstand, therefore it fits a lot in one drawer eliminating the need for a second drawer. Nightstand got delivered with a broken leg, but customer service responded promptly and sent a new one quickly without any cost to me. I am still waiting for the rest of the bedroom set (bed and drawer chests). These were promised to arrive weeks ago. Beautifully made solid wood nightstand. I love the design and the color, it looks like solid black from photos but it's actually a dark walnut stain so you can still see the wood grain slightly. This was purchased from open box and I know it was thoroughly inspected for damages before it was sent out but there was a small crack on the side when arrived, the wood had split open and left a slight gap thats visible, it wasnt so bad that I couldnt live with it, and small enough that I thought I could have it repaired with wood filler. Customer service was able to give me a discount for this since I decided to keep it.
