I tried to view this first in the store because they are unusual, but was not available, so after much waiting I purchased. There was a little problem with the hardware, but worked out ok. Description was spot on. 1/3/26- update- these are still very sturdy, haven't broken despite the frequent 'barstool scoot' to get to the counter, and resist spots and stains easily. Purchased for a client's kitchen and it is exactly as pictured. Comfortable to sit in, with a firm upholstery seat. The swivel is not too "loose" which means that the seat stays put when you're getting in and out. The seat swivels with just the right amount of effort and the base does not extend past the seat when turned, so no uncomfortable pokes to the legs.
