This platform bed has a timeless look. Clean lines + flared cone legs borrow from a mid-century aesthetic. Crafted from kiln-dried wood with durable dovetail joinery, it's wrapped in a plush, cushioned fabric that’s supportive and comfortable. Top the sturdy slats with the mattress of your choice (sold separately) – no box spring required.

This bed is lovely. I keep telling my husband that we finally have an adult bed! Unlike other midcentury styles, this one tastefully hides the support beams in the middle, which allows the bed to keep it's tasteful lines. I wasn't bothered by the slight gap, but I do feel like the wooden slats may not hold up. Unlike ones you might find at the Swedish guru shop, these are sealed; they're just unfinished pieces of wood like look like they could crack easily. Time will tell! I love putting furniture together and am kind of a veteran of the DIY furniture directions. My husband and I had a horrible time getting the main 4 pieces of the frame together and it seems like some of the steps were reversed. Attaching the sides to the headboard was a pain- you basically need 5 hands from two people, so it would probably help to attach the sides to the bottom end first, then add the head board. It's overall a very simple design and the directions are pretty straightforward (if not a little too simplified), but it took us a bit longer than we expected. The feet are my favorite and really lovely quality! One of the two boxes (the one with the headboard) was ripped all the way through, which resulting in a big dent in the headboard that appears to be permanent. This isn't hugely noticeable but is unfortunate and packaging/shipping could have been slightly more careful.. Sarah. Mount Vernon, NY. 2018-03-06 15:42:27

With its clean lines and tapered legs, this platform bed brings mid-century style to your bedroom. The frame is crafted from kiln-dried wood and has a low profile that opens up your space. A slatted rectangular headboard brings an open, inviting vibe. Plus, base slats and center legs help support your mattress (sold separately). No box spring required.

We purchased the Cal King and a beautiful and solid wood piece that was easy to put together. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious. I don’t think customers are finding this extra length on other sizes.. Lauri. Naperville, IL. 2019-09-11 09:59:13
