Fits my purpose to store glasses by my basement bar, but plan on 1-2 hours of assembly time (and I'm a professional engineer!). It has many many fasteners required for assembly with some are in awkward points to access. They recommend and I agree, DO NOT use a power drill or driver with these fasteners. It looks nice, but there are some things to note, this is why I rated 3 stars. First thing The assembly instructions are terrible, none of the screws are identified correctly in the instructions sheet. To help others, I’ve marked up the sheet so you know what screws go where. Also, the back of the cabinet is where the wood strip is. It would have been helpful for the instructions to indicate that. Second I knew this going into it, It’s not real walnut, more a particle board painted(), but it looks quite nice and can pass for real wood. Third the cost is frankly too high for what you get. If it was half the cost, that would be more in line with the value. All that said, they are sturdy and look really nice. I do not regret the purchase at all, it’s just on the pricey side and the instructions were super frustrating. As far as the product is concerned, I'm happy with the materials, construction, and overall quality. I feel that the online description and photos were accurate. I was somewhat disappointed with the delivery. One edge of the shipping box was wet (not as a result of being placed in water, ice, or snow at the delivery destination.) Additionally, the shelves were not individually wrapped in protective material inside the shipping box, so they were free to bounce around during shipping, and as a result a couple of the shelves suffered some minor abrasions.. These shelves are genuinely beautiful and well made. Unfortunately, the shelves I received were made of particle board, not solid wood, and were growing black and white mold. All three of the sets of shelves. Obviously these shelves aren't safe. The mold has taken hold inside the particle board and there is no way to save these. It's a giant shame. The biggest downside of the process is that they wouldn't pickup the shelves. I had to hire a person to pickup the shelves and dispose of them. That cost me out of pocket which I'm pretty upset about. I'm leaving 3 stars because of the excellent support I received. The returns process was easy and the customer service was actually helpful.. I have a very odd spot in my apartment and this desk was the perfect fit. Sometimes it's difficult to find things with just the right dimensions but this desk was spot on.
